about

On 18th November 2005, indie-rock trio Undercurrent played its first gig - a lunchtime Children In Need fundraiser in the main hall at Poole Grammar School.

Ant Henson, Adam Scholey and Paul Pietrangelo - later joined by drummer James Mosley and bassist Mark Ford - went on to enjoy a two-year career, playing several live shows along the south coast, and recording, self-producing and releasing two full-length EPs as well as a live album recorded in front of a sell-out London crowd in Leicester Square!

To celebrate the band's 10th Anniversary, their inaugural anthem "Monopoly" (written and recorded to introduce their class assembly on the subject of capitalism!) has been re-imagined by former UC front-man Adam and guitarist brother Dale ('Voice Of Reason', '...And The Magical 8-Ball Band', '-Aspire-') under the moniker 'Sounds Like Adam'.

Adam's refreshingly pop-flavoured, punk-tinted, atmosphere-rife, harmonic musters come straight from the heart of "one of Bournemouth's better lyricists" (Rock Regeneration).
